Tree Planting Day: Coundon Park

On a wet and windy Saturday in November, twenty people turned up to the tree planting day in Coundon Park to successfully plant nearly a 1000 native trees and shrubs. The day was organised by Coventry Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace. In an area that had become prone to flooding and therefore could no longer be used as a football pitch, a future wildlife habitat was created that should benefit the local community, flora and fauna for many years to come as well as contribute to negating the affects of climate change.
